Yeovil 4 Work is a voluntary programme run by Yeovil Community church that provides support for unemployed people to help them in looking for work. At Job Club we provide a warm and friendly space with free tea, coffee, biscuits and internet connection. Unemployed people are welcome to drop in at any time during a session.
We will give you support in writing or updating your CV, creating an email address, looking for jobs, completing application forms or emails to allow you to apply for them, interview support and any other help that we can.
Helping to inspire, encourage and motivate you and walking the journey with you from unemployment to employment. We will get to know you as a unique person, supporting you on a one to one basis, working with you to help you to achieve your goals to find work and giving you individually tailored support.

The Community Services Team support a range of services including wellbeing activities, older persons befriending, a job club and support for individuals and families. For Martock Parish residents only.
Positive People offers a lifeline to people who are not in work, no matter what the reason. It can help build confidence, skills and give people a sense of hope for their future.
The programme offers 1:1 support to help people move forward with life, and can help people get involved with new and exciting activities to help build confidence and meet new people. It also provides free specialised support towards overcoming barriers to work such as anxiety or isolation issues, access to benefits, housing, financial or other health issues.
The programme is open to anyone over 18 who is out of work.

U3A provides educational and learning opportunities for people who are retired or no longer in full-time work. There are a wide range of courses and groups available.
The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an international self-help learning organisation for people who have completed their career or finished raising a family. It’s a time to enrich your lives with new skills and experiences, pursue interests and make new friends.
The U3A is different from other learning organisations – rather than pay people to teach, our members share their skills and talents with other members.

If you’re a Knightstone resident, we can offer you tailored support in almost any area of your life, including help to manage your homes or tenancy, support to find a job, work experience or volunteering opportunities, help to connect with local clubs or activities, and support around money and debt management. We also run a crisis service to help get you back on your feet if something unexpected has happened.
